Basil Salt

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup coarse sea salt
  • 1 cup loosely packed basil leaves

(or any 1:1 ratio)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 225F. Place salt and basil in a food processor, and pulse until the mixture is finely chopped. Spread onto a parchment lined baking pan, and bake until the mixture appears dry, about 30 minutes.

Remove from oven and cool in the pan. You may want to food process (in a dry food processor) one more time to smooth it out, otherwise you can break it up with your hands. Store in airtight container(s) at room temperature.
