Husk Cherry Jam

Ingredients

3-4 cups husked ground cherries 1 cup of sugar 2 tbsp lemon juice

Directions:

Husk and wash ground cherries. Add to a large pan at low heat. Add lemon juice. Cook, stirring occasionally, until ground cherries are mostly split (similar to cooking cranberry sauce).

Add sugar and increase heat to medium. Cook, stirring often, for about 15 minutes, or until the jam starts to thicken.

Put jam into clean, prepared jars before it is fully cool. Refrigerate and use within approx a month unless you choose to go through a proper canning process with hot water bath.
